There are lots of great ways to earn extra money from home that you can do in your spare time and now is a great time to get started. Here are a few fun and easy ways to make some extra cash for the holidays this year from the comfort of your house.

There are so many free apps that you can download on your phone to help earn you money. While you are sitting there watching Netflix you can just have different apps playing short videos to earn points/cash. When you have 5 minutes to kill during a commercial break on TV instead of stalking your ex, do a quick survey for cash! Those little moments can add up to some nice cash over time. Here are a few of my favorite apps:
ibotta this is my favorite cash back app. Okay so technically for some of this you might need to leave your home but there are also plenty of online options within this app. I do tend to use it most for in store purchases however. You can go through and select a store and find cash back for items that you would normally buy. They have a lot of "Any" products cash back, so buy any grocery item and get 25 cents back, or buy any cookie dough and get 10 cents back, but also if there is a brand name cookie dough that they have a rebate for as well, they will let you know so you can stack the savings easily. Sometimes they even have great BOGO free or even, just straight free offers. We've done these for new products and made money by purchasing them, we have even found some new brands/products that we now love and wouldn't have tried otherwise. They will also pay you money for scanning your receipt. If you are earning online kicks then you can search through the stores to see how many kicks per $1 spent you can earn. Kicks can be redeemed for gift cards and you can keep track of how many more kicks you need to reach your reward or easily switch rewards. Write Reviews!!!
I can't say this enough! Companies will spend big bucks to get their products out there, tested, and get honest feedback! Most companies aren't going to send out products that they don't believe you will love and ask you to write a review. Reviews can make or break a product/company. I always read reviews before making a purchase. Weather it is an item or a service. I have ended up going to a town an hour away instead of a local one because of the reviews on both companies.
PinchMe okay so pinchme falls in between surveys and product reviews.. you do surveys to earn tokens and then after you earn at least 350 tokens they mail you out a sample box. You chose your samples, sometimes they add extras, and they mail them out on Tuesday. The more tokens you've earned that week the bigger and better the sample boxes are. It does take a few weeks to get the boxes which can be a downside, but I actually like it... it's like a fun surprise you forgot about. There are often samples of new products that are coming out soon so it's really fun to get to test it before you would buy it in store, they also have coupons a lot of times, so double bonus!
Tryazon is one of my absolute favorites right now. All you do is sign up to be a member, view their tryabox/parties and events and apply for the one(s) that you think you'd like to try, if you get selected they send you the tryabox/party box to try and share about for free. These are so much fun and they have so many great products to try and fun parties to host. They always send a guide to help make it easy and fun for you to do.
weespring this is the site that started my obsession with reviews. Becoming a mom made me read and obsess about products like I never imagined possible. Becoming a part of the weespring parent panel isn't as easy as some the other sites. They are exclusive and want to make sure they are getting people they can trust. Join their site and review products that you have, and maybe find some amazing products that you never knew about beforehand and they will change how you parent! or at least that's what I did... after a few good review (as in good quality, really explain what/why you liked/didn't like that product and if you would/wouldn't recommend it and why) they might contact you to join their Parent Panel and get awesome products to test and keep for free, just write a few reviews giving your honest feedback on select sites. This one is a must if you're a parent, I've gotten well over a thousand dollars worth of free products just for writing a few reviews.
bzzagent this site just went through a whole new revamp over the last month or so and is just getting back started. I like this site because it allows you to try a wide selection of products and you can get more/better products by doing really well in bzzing about the products you received. You sign up, tell them about you and your interest, get invited to try products based off of your interest, and share your experience across social media. This is something you are probably already doing but your paying for the products, why not get them for free. There is just a special type of joy when using #GotItForFree Like most of the other sites, these are typically products that are new to market or that have been re-marketed.
Ebay
Stay with me here because if suggesting you use ebay in 2018 wasn't crazy enough, it is about to get weirder... I recently found out that you can sell a lot of weird things on ebay, like your trash! Yes, y'all! Things you are throwing in the trash can be saved and sold on ebay!
First off, you find and fix up (or sell as is) a lot of great items from your local goodwill online and make great money doing it! Find an old leather jacket or bag, just slap the word "vintage" to it and you can earn 10x's what you paid for it! Plus I just love going through and seeing what I can find. On my last trip, a lady scored an almost $300 Michael Kors bag in perfect condition and she said this was the second one she found at our local goodwill! I clearly need to step my game up here.
Now on to the your trash can also be your treasure list:
Egg Cartons these bad boys go for a wide range depending on the type that you have and how many. It is insane to me! I kept one for a craft project with the kids once and Ryan made fun of me, so i can't wait to tell him that I might start keeping them to sell online now!
Toilet Paper Rolls yep.. that little cardboard roll left over after you use all your toilet paper... you could be getting money for those! Again, I do save these for craft projects but still throw away a lot of them. You can average about $16 for a set of 50-100 rolls.
Bottle Caps are used in a lot of art projects and could make you some money. If they are clean and dent free they bring it the most money, about $10 per 100, but you could make more for select bottle caps.
Box Tops for Education can earn you big bucks. If you don't have a kid in school then you might want to look into cutting these out and saving them still. They are on so many products that you might already be using, check the list here I was surprised when I checked the list because I thought it was just on food products but they are actually on so much more. They are going for at least $20 for 50 box tops that are pre-trimmed and not expired. Side option.. if you wanted to send them to Maddison for her school we wouldn't mind that either. :)
Remote Controls are always getting lost! I know I'm not the first to have lost a remote and then found it months or years later, long after the device that the remote goes to is gone. Well instead of just throwing the remote away, post it on ebay and see if you can get some cash for it.
Big Pine Cones Crafters/artist will spend money on some weird stuff, and they will spend big money on that weird stuff. Like Pine Cones. The bigger the pine cone, the bigger the cash reward. Flash back to my younger days of throwing pine cones at my siblings. I think it is time we made a trip out to our Grandma's house, and help clean up the yard while we are there. 😉
