Family Game Night with The OP Games

Everyone knows one of my favorite things is game night. We go to a friend's game night at least once a month and have a family game night once a week, but more often than not, family game night happens multiple times a week.

That also means we can get burnt out playing the same games so often. Even the best games require a little break occasionally. Anytime we get the chance to test out some new games it is like a mini party! To be fair, it doesn't take much for us to turn something into a mini-party at my house. I own a mini disco ball, so I need to make sure I'm getting my money's worth. 😄

When I got to opportunity to work with OP Games again and play two new games, Mish Match and Tapple 10, I was super excited. One of my favorite things about them is even though the suggested age is 8+, my younger kids (7 and almost 6) are still able to play, but my youngest can get upset if he doesn't do as well as everyone else. The gameplay is easy to learn and the games are quick. Plus you can play with a very small group, which is great because sometimes we love to have "mommy and me" time when we take turns playing one-on-one while my other kiddos play a different game.

Mish Match is a fast-paced game of matching. The animals are having a food party! Be the first to spot a match based on the animal, color, food, or mood, and slap it! The matching category is called at the start of each round. Call it, flip it, slap it, claim it! If you see an animal in a hat, yell hat and be the first to slap it and get the stack! The player with the most cards when the deck runs out is the winner.

Tapple 10 is honestly one of those games that I would take with me on the go. I have a whole purse that is dedicated to "on-the-go" games. Games that I take to restaurants, doctor appointments, the DMV, and anywhere that I would go with my kids that might require some waiting time. It is always lots of fun, makes the time go by much faster, and it's not a screen! Most of my games have come from Chick-fil-A kid's meals and the Dollar Store!

What do I love about Tapple 10? You can change the difficulty level of gameplay. I LOVE games where you can edit how easy/hard it is because we play with a variety of people including kids. You can play this game by yourself or with a large group. There are different categories that are engaging for all ages or players, there's a sand timer, and it all packs up nicely in a portable box. It also comes with a booklet that gives you the difficulty levels of each game and the recommended number of players for that game.
