First Day of School

Image
Where have the last 5 years gone? I used to make fun of peoples "how is my baby in Kindergarten already" post, and now I'm that person! Y'all how is my baby in Kindergarten already?? Maddison was so excited and has been waiting for this all summer even though she has loved being able to sleep in and stay in her pjs all day throughout the summer. We also love the freedom of being able to do whatever we want all week. Especially since Ryan has Friday's off, we can go away for long weekend trips but now that we are back to a school schedule it will be different. The best picture we could get of all three. They do not stand still for long! How are other parents able to get all these pictures of their kids sitting still and looking at the camera, even with my best bribes it never works!  I love this sweet girl so much and she is truly my best friends! She was the first to make me a mother and my test child for everything motherly. She has taug...

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to!

Happy Birthday to ME!! That's right I turned 26. What's funny is I vividly remember as a child thinking okay I'll meet my future husband when I'm like 22, get married at 24, and if we want kids I'll have my first kid at 26... HA!! Wow was I wrong, I met Ryan when I was 17, got married at 19 and had my third kid by 25. Life is never what you think it is going to be, but sometimes it's is so much better! My Birthday however... was not that way... My Birthday started off good enough, since Ryan was gone for the weekend at Camp Chaffee, it was just me and the kids for 72 hours... of course the night before we don't go to bed until 1am.. but luckily I got to sleep in until 7am. The morning honestly started out pretty good. The kids were getting along, I even messaged Ryan and let him know that things were going well.. around 9am the kids started fighting, spilled juice at breakfast, dumped cereal bowl on the table, floor, and chair. Then spilled juice on the fl...

The Zoo with Who?

Image
This week I took the kids to the Little Rock Zoo to meet up with one of our friends from Jonesboro. Honestly I was pretty worried about how we would do since they out number me and Max is a runner but I made it back home with all three kids and no news story about a kid that fell into an animal exhibit. I'd call that a huge win! I didn't tell the kids who we were meeting at the Zoo but of course Maddison being the smarty pants that she is, guessed exactly who right off. She was excited and kept saying that she hopes "her boyfriend" is who we are meeting at the zoo. Luckily we were able to make it all the way there with no fussing or fighting between the kids. Got to watch this Grizzly bear splash around in the water and then come out to finish eating its orange, even offered the kids a bite. Seriously though, it came up to the glass and hung out with us for awhile and the kids loved watching it eat and seeing it's long claws.  It's still hot an...

Slow down with Rituals

Image
I got the chance to be apart of a Tryazon Rituals Cosmetics campaign and I'm so excited to share about it with y'all. This Rituals campaign was for their Ayurveda line. It is all about slowing down, relaxing, and enjoying the little moments in life. I received their Foaming shower gel, and the dry oil for body and hair. I really loved the foaming sower gel! The smell of Indian rose and sweet almond oil was subtle. I was still able to smell it on me after I got out of the shower but not so strong that it bothered me like some other shower gels do. A little goes a long way with this gel as well. The first time I used it I might have used a little too much because I did not realize how much it actually foams up.  First of all any product that is a two-in-one is already winning in my book. This dry oil is great for frizzy hair, which is huge in the south with all our humidity. It is also great for body massages. It has a spray applicator and absorbs into your skin really ...

A Day at the Park

Image
The weekends are always our favorites! Dada is home and that means that the kids are annoy him and let me get a little bit of peace and quite. Also I get to go and do grocery shopping without the whole gang and that is always great. Today we spent our day cleaning the house and going to the park. Since it is deathly hot and humid here we spent most of our time at the splash pad and trying to stay in the shade. Max is always putting his hands up and asking where something is at. He is also always running around and being a wild child. Oliver spends his time trying to find a way to his mommy.  Making the most of the little moments and running around outside is always fun. Especially when you get to come back home to the A/C house and eat ice cream, just don't let the kids know I ate ice cream because I was not about to share with them! When we got home I got my package from Tryazon and Rituals Cosmetics waiting for me! I've been (not-so) pat...

Welcome to our Family!

Image
Welcome to The Brumwell Chronicles! Where you will be able to laugh at my pain of raising three crazy kids and one adult man child. Our life might not always be what we want it to be, but it is always interesting and I hope you will follow us along on our adventure. My name is Summer Brumwell and I'm 25 years old. I have three adorable, crazy, and inspiring children. We recently moved to Russellville for work and I'm now a stay-at-home mom, which was wildly misleading when I signed up for the job, I thought I get way more naps and free time than I do. I'm definitely a Mama Llama ain't got time for your Drama kinda Mama. We like to play and make messes because I believe that's one of the best ways to learn. In my free time I love to sleep, take a shower, and eat something that is warm (preferably Tacos). I am a member of multiple testing companies and love trying out new products and letting others know what's a must have item and what to save your money...
