"Can I have a snack?"

"Can I have a snack?" Number 1 phrase every parent heard ALL. Summer. Long!!! While the amount of times I hear this per day has decreased dramatically now that school is in session, I'm not in the clear yet with two little's still at home. Luckily for me, I love to snack prep! I also really love organized little snack containers! There is no better time to buy them than back to school time or right after school starts back and they go on clearance. There's also no better time to stock up on snacks!! (*insert picture of my 3 30 oz boxes of Goldfish) I'm totally the person that can't pass up on a good deal, just ask my husband.

The favorite snack in our house is hands down Fresh Fruit! We go through so much fruit in a week it is unreal! I always try to buy locally grown fresh fruit and veggies because there is such a difference in quality and taste. Summertime is so great for that and we love hitting up roadside stands, farmers markets, or just picking the locally bought product at our neighborhood markets.

Okay waffles and nutella are a go to of mine in the morning as well, especially with cut up strawberries and bananas on top. YUM! Nutella on anything at anytime of the day or night are a total win
.

We also love messy foods... okay "we" really is my kids and I just give in because I'm a sucker for their cute little faces. Also it's typically a fast and easy food to prepare. As much as I'd love to say we all love our veggies, I swear my kids go through stages. Some weeks we LOVE them and that's all they will eat... other weeks they go through a 'veggies belong on the floor' stage. Which is why I keep telling my husband that we NEED a pet pig! If you see him and want to casually (or bluntly, I don't care how you do it as long as it gets done) tell him we need a pig, I'll love you forever!
