Spring Break 2019

4 crazy moms, 9 wild kids, 1,156 miles in a car, and the ocean sounds like a recipe for disaster! Welcome to Spring Break 2019!

One day in our group chat someone says something about we should go to the beach, and then we actually started planning a beach trip. Which I know my husband didn't think we would actually follow through on or that at the very least someone wouldn't come back friends. Good news, we made it, and we all came back friends! The kids had a great time and the moms had a even better time. We spent lots of time applying sunscreen, playing games, and laughing. We came back with lots of great memories and even more seashells. If anyone wants some seashells, just let me know!

We rented a beautiful AirB&B a road back from the beach so we had to walk through one little sand dune area and boy you don't know how much stuff you are dragging down to the beach until you're dragging it and a bunch of kids through the sand! We got smart pretty quick and just loaded everything in the van the next time and just had one person drive the van back over and the rest walked with the kiddos.

Max LOVED playing in the sand and finding seashells. I think he brought back more than anyone else. One of the sweet moms made these super cute little bags for the kids to put their shells in and he filled his and had to empty it into my big beach bag multiple times!!!

It's safe to say that after a day on the beach everyone, especially the moms, were wore out!!!

One of the main things that drew us to the place that we picked, besides the beauty and large space and number of beds, was this awesome table that had plenty of room for all the kiddos. Even if my kids refused to eat about 90% of the meals... kids are fun!

We brought a few decks or cards and board games to play inside while we were cooling down and making meals. The kids did pretty well and we played the shark bite game a bunch. If you haven't played this game before I totally recommend it. Our kids got it for Christmas from grandma and we play it on a regular basis. Shark Bite Game

Clearly if we are willing to take 9 kids that range from 8 years to 4 months on a 12 hour car ride to the ocean for a few days then we are crazy enough to take them out to a nice dinner one night. The hostess and waitresses up front eyes about popped out of their head when we walked in with all the kids, but they did great! Again besides my kids not actually eating their food. My food however was fantastic!

Overall I'd give our trip a 4.5/5 that trip home was rough because I accidentally said the word playground when we still had a few hours left of the car ride and two 2 year old. Big mistake. We all made it home in one piece and the only thing that was lost was one baby tooth in someones car. I'd call it a successful trip! I'm so happy to have such a fun and adventurous group of friends that will take random beach trips with me and love me and my kids regardless of how crazy the trips might be. I love that my kids have a awesome group of friends to grow up.

Be adventurous and take a crazy leap of faith and gather up your best mom friends and go out on a trip that you and your kiddos will never forget. It might be a little crazy but so worth it.

And of course, always take a jumping photo at the beach, even if you fail at jumping on time! :)
