Welcome Spring

We are so excited to finally be getting some nicer weather, even if it is accompanied by rain. The downside to that is my backyard has a slight slope and part of our yard stays pretty wet after it rains. Which means if my kids go running around, they will find mud, and if they find mud... they will play in it and make it worse. So much worse...

Yep... my kids found a small muddy patch in the yard and stomped around in it until it grew and then they rubbed it all over their bodies and then they threw it at my fence... Luckily they did strip down to their birthday suits before becoming completely covered in mud. Oddly enough not all of my kids were in the mud. Just the two that were old enough to know better. I still have one sweet kid who was just playing nicely outside, not in the mud. 

Good ole Olliepop was just playing on the dump truck, riding around the back yard and minding his own business while the older two turd children were making a mess. Thank you Oliver! 

As y'all know I'm all about just making the best of situations so since they were already out and yucky, we might as well have some ice cream cones. Then I sprayed them off with the water hose and brought them inside to have a proper bath. 

Wouldn't you know it that my sweet little Oliver who has remained so good and clean so far all day, would find a way to make the bath gross... Yeah that dark little log in there is a turd! I went to go grab towels and I hear Max yelling "ewwww nasty! nasty! mommyyyyyyy!!!!" I run back and Maddison and Max have already jumped out and are both yelling about how gross Oliver is... Oliver is just loving life and splashing around and trying to drink the water... Is it just my kids are is bath water their favorite kind of water? Max will rarely drink plain water, he has to have a splash a juice in it, but give him a cup of bath water, he will chug it so fast.

I can't wait for more outside adventures but hopefully they will be a lot less muddy and less poop water and more ice cream.
