Summer Time Bucket list for kids
Summer Vacation is here and in full swing! Literally week one I thought I was going to go crazy! I quickly realized that excited new stay at home mom Summer and 1 year of being a stay at home mom Summer are two different people and I'm somehow way less prepared for summer vacation this year. A friend of mine told me that she's making her son a summer bucket list so of course we started working on one ourselves and thought we'd share.
Since we have three kiddos one thing that I thought was important to have on each kids bucket list was to have a special date with just them and mom and dad separately and then a special date with just them and the two of us together. We do try to have daddy daughter dates once a month either way but this would be an additional date for them. Maddison really loves the daddy daughter dates and comes home and tells me all about it. It can get so busy and crazy in the house sometimes, and she often gets the short end of the stick when it comes to our time and attention because the boys are still younger and require a lot more so this is something that we have tried to keep up with because we know how much she loves it and needs that special time away. I'd definitely encourage everyone to do these, and once the boys start getting older we will have mommy and son dates and dad and son dates.
The boys list I just made for them based off things I know they love or would love to do, but since Maddison is older she got to help me make her list and we had a lot of fun thinking of ideas on what to do.

Some of our summer time bucket list items are for the whole family and some are clearly for the boys or Maddison but we it's a great starting point for our summer and will help keep us busy and make sure that we have a fun filled summer vacation. Let me know what fun items I left off or what you are trying this summer!

We have already completed a few off the list and have had a great time doing them!
We had a crazy coupe car wash and the kids LOVED it! We filled up lots of different containers with water and I gave the kids some sponges and soap and let them go to work! |
When they finished washing the cars, I put them to work washing my fence, might as well get a little chore work out of them while they think it's fun! |
Kindergarten class reunion! Our teacher organized our first K2 class playdate and the kids had a blast! |
Max helped me make, peel, and eat boiled eggs. One of his favorite snacks! |
