Is the Silk'n Infinity Worth the Price?
Last month I got the chance to work with Trayzon and Silk'n to test out the Silk'n Infinity. To say I was excited about this would be a huge understatement! I absolutely hate doing any hair removal treatment. It is time consuming and never ending! I will admit that after I received the device I was a little nervous to use it... Would it hurt..? Would it actually work..? Would it be something that I was comfortable using and actually keep up on using until I got results?
Considering the fact that the average woman starts shaving at age 13 and goes until age 50, that's 37 years we are spending roughly 15 minutes 3-4 times a week shaving. That equals out to be around 70 days of your life spent shaving! It can cost anywhere from $5,500-$7,000 depending on the type of razors, blades, and additional products that you use while shaving.
Waxing is just painful and can be awkward depending on what area you're getting waxed. Plus it gets expensive fast! You have to grow your hair out a bit beforehand and it can leave you red and swollen for some time afterwards. For most people it also requires you to leave your house and make an appointment somewhere to have it done which can be inconvenient or during times like now, impossible and hairy.

How does it work?
The Silk'n Infinity uses two different light energy to create their unique eHPL (Enhanced Home Pulsed Light) technology. The Silk'n Infinity has lots of safety features built in to keep users protected. There are 5 adjustable levels so that users can use the level that they feel the most comfortable with. Skin tone sensor that allows the device to check the skin tone before flashes and periodically throughout treatment to make sure that the user is within safe levels. The device will not flash into open air. It must be completely against your skin before it will flash. The flash although it can look bright at times is no more harmful for your eyes than a camera flash.
The Silk'n Infinity works for women and men. It can be used on the face (cheekbones down), legs, arms, underarms, bikini line, and other areas of the body where unwanted hair grows (not including nipples or genitals, because these are extremely sensitive areas). How to use the Silk'n Infinity:
Step 1: Remove all Jewelry
Step 2: Skin should be shaved, clean, and dry.
Step 3: Plug in device and select energy level.
Step 4: Place the Infinity’s treatment surface on the skin and press the pulse button to deliver one pulse, or press and hold purse button while slowly gliding along skin to use the glide method. Make sure your hand touches the base electrode together with the pulse button. Repeat this process for areas needing hair removal.
Step 5: Apply a moisturizing cream to treated areas following treatment. Because of the galvanic energy, your pores will be open, allowing for deeper absorption of the cream, leaving your skin more hydrated and improving tone and texture.
How often to treat: Treat every 2 weeks for the first 4 treatments and then as needed. For those who have thicker faster growing hair it is safe to use more often, but remember that you need to allow time for hair follicles to be in active growing stage or else the treatment does not work.
Expected results: On average, users will start to see effects between 4-6 weeks.
What did I think?
Well I am happy to report that it was absolutely 100% pain FREE for me! The only thing I could note was once or twice (over several treatments on several different spots on my body) I could feel a very slight tingly type feeling which is something that Silk'n mentions in their device manual and website when reading about the device and is completely normal and in way was it painful, uncomfortable, or worried me. It was more of a tickle feeling than anything.
Also extremely happy to report that I started seeing results on my legs after just 1, that's right ONE, use!!! 😮 After 3 treatments I can see that my hair is growing in slower, thinner, and some areas has stopped all together. It is super exciting to see and feel promising results already.
Since it is so fast and easy I've had no issues keeping up with using the device. I will use after a shower while I'm watching a show on my laptop or while I'm waiting on my Cricut to finish cutting out a design for something I'm making. It's that fast and easy!
As someone who is always down for spontaneous trips to the beach or a girls night out it's nice to know that having to panic about needing to shave before I go out is no longer going to be an issue.
